The car which can call itself THE Cab

Isn't it amazing how the Checker Cab - which as a real working cab disappeared from the streets everywhere - still reaches the imagination of people? Advertisement makers only know one taxi: the bright yellow Checker with its checkered striping (also a typical taxi-recognition).

There even are Yellow cab shoes, Complete with taxi mood (yes, with the checker cab) in that styling, the advertisement material and the packaging…. In almost every TV-commercial which has something to do with taxi's, a New York cab driver - arm loosely out of the window - still drive's a Checker. Yes even now! Look for it, even in New York! Checkers are more on TV and in the movies than real movie stars. And they are - maybe because of the yellow and the forever checkered stripe - just a little more "typical taxi" than the London cabs.
